Fiberdome has utilized this process to produce high quality parts for 40 years. The factory plant has state of the art facilities paired with industry leading expertise. Fiberdome has increased their headquarters campus to 162,000 square feet including a recent acquisition that expanded its production capacity for resin transfer molding. Spray-up applications offer controlled rigidity, dimensional stability, and the process is very cost effective. Our spray-up process combines chopper and spray guns to simultaneously place fiberglass-chopped roving and catalyzed resin onto a single mold surface, usually applied over a layer of gel coat that provides custom colors and desired cosmetic appearances. Hand tools like brushes, squeegees, and rollers are employed to remove air from the layered reinforcement. Part thickness is determined by the number of material layers placed on the mold. Precut fiberglass mat or roving may be added between spray layers if desired. Our process allows for producing components with an unlimited choice of color. Stay tuned for more colors to come soon!
